Amazon description says this product is made in Germany - it's not; it's made in China. I was shopping with my mom after ordering but before receiving the set, and "showed off" what I was going to be receiving soon. Much to my dismay, the boxed set at the store said Made in China. I called Calphalon to confirm. Thankfully, I found out in time to refuse the order.
